Recently Mr. Rosenstein has obtained term sheets for clients over $250 million, $60 million of this in the form of equity or mezzanine financing.

Mr. Rosenstein structures complex transactions and leads Conquests investment banking initiatives. Under his leadership Conquest successfully acts as a vehicle for investors, owners, and developers in real property acquisitions to help facilitate either pari passu equity, preferred equity, sponsor equity, mezzanine financing, and construction or bridge loans.

He has spent in excess of 30 years in the real estate industry as an owner/manager, commercial lender, bank workout professional, consultant and appraiser. His background in banking and credit has allowed him to provide readily understandable underwriting presentations to funds and institutions, which helps facilitate a quick approval time.

Prior to his work with Conquest, Mr. Rosenstein was a partner in a company he started in April, 1998, that acquired and managed approximately 1,800 apartment units in the New York and New Jersey markets at a total acquisition price of approximately $55 million.


Mr. Rosenstein sold his interest in these companies to devote his full efforts to raising capital for development projects nationwide. He acquired term sheets for developers for developments in New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia, Louisiana, and Colorado. Projects have included retail, multi-family apartments, condominium, land acquisition, and entitlement projects.

Prior to his fundraising efforts, Mr. Rosenstein spent eighteen years in commercial banking. At Fuji Bank, Ltd., he was Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer in charge of real estate credits (1991-1998). During this time, he restructured problem credits, and disposed of over $1 billion in real estate assets and notes both in the United States and Canada.

Prior to Fuji, Mr. Rosenstein worked at Citicorp Real Estate (CRE) for eleven years (1979-1991). At CRE, he was active in both the real estate workout and lending areas. Mr. Rosenstein was a Vice President and team leader in the New York lending area, closing over $675 million in new loans.

These included underwriting major residential condominium construction loans in New York City, such as the 213 unit Princeton House, at 95th and Broadway; the 142 unit Savannah, at 89th Street and Broadway; and the 182 unit Regatta, in Battery Park City.

Mr. Rosenstein gained his workout experience over a six-year period at Plaza Realty Investors (1973-1979), where he was Vice President in charge of a national real estate portfolio. At Plaza, he had the opportunity to work with all property types. He implemented capital improvement and energy conservation programs that allowed for many of the properties to become economically viable in the face of the oil embargo of 1973 and 1974.

In the early 1970's, Mr. Rosenstein worked at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) where he was a Federal Housing Administration (FHA) underwriter of apartment projects in the office New York area office.

Mr. Rosenstein has earned an undergraduate degree from the Wharton School, and holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University's School of Architecture.
